Immunisation for Infants and Pregnant Women in Unserved and Under Served Area

Target Group:
Infants in the 0-5 yr age group, pregnant women

Objectives:

To increase outreach by conducting regular immunization camps in the area thus increasing the no. of immunization days.
To maintain proper documentation to detect vaccine specific dropouts.
To Conduct awareness generation programs on immunization for parents.

Project Brief:
The immunization coverage in slums and many rural communities of Delhi is woefully inadequate. One of the reasons is low availability of health care delivery systems and safe motherhood programs. As part of this program, the health workers:

Conduct regular immunization camps (20) on monthly basis at selected camp sites.
Detect vaccine dropouts early.
Organize community awareness programs.
Door to door surveys for motivating parents to get their children vaccinated.
