Children working as rag pickers, cobblers, tea stall boys or vendors on train ; and HIV infected & affected children


Objectives:

  • To prepare the street & working children to reduce their vulnerability to HIV/AIDS.


Project Brief:

Project “NANHE SAPNE” aims to increase knowledge levels of vulnerable children on HIV/AIDS and reduce their risk behaviours like unsafe sex and drug use practices and also help HIV affected and infected children to cope with infection and develop as normal healthy individuals with better future.


As part of project, CSI has established 6 learning centers for street and working children at Samaypur Badli (near Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar), Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar & Narela railway station. Some special workshops on child rights, sexual abuse ,life skills like conflict resolution, handling peer pressures etc. have been organized for the vulnerable as well as the HIV/AIDS infected and affected children.
